The VS75-SIC-V2 is a piezoelectric AE sensor with integrated preamplifier. Its frequency response is characterized by a peak at 75 kHz where it exhibits a resonance. The low frequency response makes it suited for monitoring large objects or objects made of highly attenuating material. The VS75-SIC-V2 can be used for integrity testing of bitumen coated pressure vessels and for detecting partial discharge. The VS75-SIC-V2 has a full metal housing that makes it especially suited for adhesive mounting it to a test object. The integrated preamplifier has 40 dB gain and supports pulse through for automatic sensor testing.
