The VS75-V is a passive piezoelectric AE sensor. Its frequency response is characterized by a peak at 75 kHz where it exhibits a resonance. The low frequency response makes it suited for monitoring large objects or objects made of highly attenuating material. The VS75-V can be used for integrity testing of bitumen coated pressure vessels and for detecting partial discharge. Remark to frequency response curve below: cable used RG 178 / 0.3 m. VS75-V has 6 dB less sensitivity if used with 1.2 m long cable.
